Although our annual visit with Dave Rebuck, the director of New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement, was interrupted last year by the pandemic, we caught up with him in July to talk about how the DGE has operated since the legalization of sports betting in 2018 and how it navigated the pandemic. Rebuck discusses how the agency drew up the sports betting regulations, becoming the first state outside of Nevada to offer sports betting to its residents. He also explains what the DGE’s responsibilities were during the lock down and how casinos responded. He spoke with CC Publisher Roger Gros via Zoom.
