Perfect Tenn. Festival in Atlantic City

Be ready to rock at the inaugural Perfect Tenn. Fest on Tennessee Avenue in Atlantic City, July 30-31.

Get ready for Tennessee Avenue’s first festival! We’re shutting down the street, installing a giant stage, erecting several tents for some great food and beverage options and even inviting some of our friends in the biz for the inaugural Perfect Tenn Festival on Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31!

The Perfect Tenn Festival will feature stellar live music – including two nationally-recognized classic rock tribute bands – plenty of scrumptious food and killer drinks – yes, there will be a special craft beer truck – awesome vendors and a plethora of cool things to do (have you ever blended a frozen drink by riding a bike?!)

And it’s all FREE! The Perfect Tenn Festival, sponsored by Meet AC, Cooper Levenson Attorneys at Law and OceanFirst Bank, will be the community block party that not only celebrates summer, but the transformation of the once distressed street into a tourism hub.

Perfect Tenn kicks off 9 p.m. Friday, July 30, with Eliot Lewis of Hall & Oates fame playing in Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall’s gorgeous Beer Yard, while the Philly Drag Mafia takes over Rhythm & Spirits, which recently received an awesome outdoor makeover!

On Saturday, July 31, The Perfect Tenn Festival kicks into high gear at noon with one of the area’s most revered cover bands, Quasimodo’s Bride, taking the Main Stage – constructed right on Tennessee Avenue near Pacific Avenue – for a three-hour set beginning at noon. The music will continue on the Main Festival Stage with LeCompt as the Philly-based legends will offer a mix of classic and modern rock from 4 to 7 p.m.

Then The Perfect Tenn Fest welcomes two nationally-renowned tribute acts for back-to-back concerts: Van Hagar will pay tribute to the Sammy Hagar-era Van Halen at 8 p.m.; and Fast Lane, a New York-based five-piece, will rock Tennessee Avenue with the sounds of the Eagles.

The music wraps up with two late shows from midnight to 3 a.m.: Glenn Roberts Cranked Up Country Band in the Beer Yard; and Savage Pianos in Rhythm & Spirits. That’s right: Tennessee Avenue will rock for 15 straight hours!

The Perfect Tenn Festival Schedule

Dinner & A Show • 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 30Rhythm & Spirits
This isn’t your average dinner show! Hosted by Brittany Lynn and featuring the Philly Drag Mafia, this show is going to be outrageously fun! Tickets are $60 pp and include a 3-course dinner.

Eliot Lewis • 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 30Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall Yard
Lewis is an independent multi-instrumentalist and the only musician to appear on every episode of the hugely popular “Live From Daryl’s House” TV show. Eliot also performs with the most successful duo of all time, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Daryl Hall & John Oates, on tour, and recently wrapped up a pandemic with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Todd Rundgren. This will be his third time playing the Beer Hall, and it’s always a rockin’ good time!

Quasimodo’s Bride • Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 31 • Festival Main Stage
Quasimodo’s Bride is an award-winning South Jersey cover band known for their alternative rock interpretations. The group has played on some of #TennAveAC’s busiest days, and they know how to work a crowd!

LeCompt • 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 31 • Festival Main Stage
LeCompt is one of the most recognizable names in the Philadelphia music scene! For more than 30 years, Mike LeCompt and the band have been rockin’ the area with spot-on covers of classic rock tunes. We’re super excited to have them play at the Perfect Tenn Fest!

Van Hagar • 8 to 9:40 p.m. Saturday, July 31 • Festival Main Stage
Van Hagar is New York’s only Sammy Hagar-era Van Halen tribute band. Van Hagar plays songs covering 1986 to 1994 as well as many Hagar songs from his successful solo career. This band has a huge following, so make plans to check them out “Right Now!”

Fast Lane • 10:15 to 11:55 p.m. Saturday, July 31 • Festival Main Stage
Fast Lane is the truest sounding Eagles tribute band in the world, performing flawless reproductions of the band’s most famous songs. They also have a cult-like following, and we’re going to have a “Peaceful, Easy Feeling” when they play!

Glenn Roberts Band • Midnight to 3 a.m. Saturday, July 31 • Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall Yard
Glenn Roberts and The Cranked Up Country Band are a Jersey-based hot country act performing throughout the tri-state area. Roberts is a favorite at the Beer Hall, but this is the first time we will feature his whole band!

Savage Pianos • Midnight to 2 a.m. Saturday, July 31 • Rhythm and Spirits
Savage Pianos is a high-energy dueling pianos show that is request driven and a rock ’n’ roll sing-along experience.

The Perfect Tenn Festival, of course, has more than just music! Here are some of the other fun things we have planned starting 4 p.m. Saturday, July 31:

Love performance art? Local artist Heather Deegan Hires will be body painting nude models with neon colors that glow in the dark. The models will interact with the crowd and be available for pictures. Later in the evening she will be body painting festival goers. You don’t have to get naked—but we won’t discourage it—she can paint your face or arm!

Michael Indorato, known as the Flying Artist, likes to paint BIG and has a reputation of getting air! You’ll find him “flying” at The Perfect Tenn Fest with his world-renowned Spindorato—a giant contraption with a low-strung trapeze that allows him to “fly” while he paints. Indorato creates large one-off pieces at art festivals and outdoor installations. The Spindorato and his paintings have been featured everywhere from Times Square, the Javitz Center, Macy’s and the Asbury Park boardwalk. Indorato calls his works, “abstract and figurative, a combination of Picasso, Salvadore Dali and M.C. Escher.” He prefers his paintings and drawings to be large and quite often have a religious undertone.

Patron Tequila is always popular, but we’re going to go ahead and assume that their Margarita Bikes are going to be extremely popular. Anyone that orders a margarita at the festival will have to “work” for it. You have to get on a stationary Patron Tequila Margarita Bike, and there’s a blender instead of a basket, and you have to pedal hard to mix your cocktail! Don’t worry, the work is worth the reward!

Founders Brewing Company will sponsor our Craft Beer Truck (opening noon Saturday), which will feature many of Founders best beers along with some other great breweries. Woodford Reserve will also have a cocktail activation for all you whiskey lovers out there.

You can’t have a festival without good eats. Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall, Rhythm & Spirits and Bar 32 will all be open for business and will also feature some cool festival foods in a special tent near the stage beginning at 4 p.m..

And we also booked some of the best food trucks in South Jersey to hang with us for the day beginning at 4 p.m.:

  • Mister Softee Ice Cream Mister Softee has been bringing the very best ice cream and frozen treats to kids and families since 1956.
  • Josie Kelly’s Public House The truck is affectionally known as Hooley on Wheels and serves your favorite authentic Irish fare from the acclaimed Somers Point-based restaurant and pub. • Essl’s Dugout The legendary Pleasantville eatery will offer traditional comfort food and inventive, fun cuisine from their new food truck.
  • Miss Connie’s Street Corn The newest food truck on the scene! Miss Connie’s serves farm-fresh, fire-roasted sweet corn dredged in flavor flamboyance… on the cob, in a cup, or freestyling in a snack bag. Creamy corn chowder, slow-cooked grits, and other surprises.

The Perfect Tenn Fest will also feature more than 20 local artisans and vendors beginning at 4 p.m. Vendors include Atlantic Leather Works, KLM Designs, Homegrown AC, Seashore Designs, Simone Squared, Holographic Hippie, Liv Smith Designs, Records ‘n Radios and many more! Most vendors take credit cards and Venmo, but make sure to bring some cash. The Beer Hall does have an ATM if you need one!

Festival goers can come and go as they please all day long, but we recommend bringing a beach or folding chair if you don’t want to stand! Guests are encouraged to park in the municipal lot located at 19 S. New York Ave (609-347-0894) for $7 per car. Stay up-to-date on festival information by visiting TennAveAC.com.
