Giannantonio Named Chairman of NJ College Gaming Board

Resorts Atlantic City CEO Mark Giannantonio has been appointed chairman of the board of the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming Hospitality and Tourism at Stockton University in New Jersey.

Mark Giannantonio, longstanding president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, assumed the chair of the advisory board of the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming Hospitality and Tourism at Stockton University on February 18.

A member of the board since 2010, Giannantonio brings his expertise as a CEO and Stockton graduate to the position, said Alphonso Ogbuehi, dean of the School of Business, which oversees LIGHT.

Giannantonio said he is looking forward to advancing public policy when it comes to the gaming, hospitality and tourism industries in New Jersey. This takes on more weight as the industry deals with the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

The LIGHT board performs research, holds seminars and classes, and works with businesses dealing with its core mission. The institute draws on the views of 30 industry leaders to promote the economic success of the Atlantic City region and New Jersey.

Giannantonio replaces Mark Blum who published the Press of Atlantic City before leaving to become director of business operations at The Buffalo News.

“I know that Mark Giannantonio, who is one of the most passionate and capable people that I met in Atlantic City, will make a positive difference as chair,” Blum said.
